She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Ashley was introduced to Functional Medicine early in her career while training under Dr. Elizabeth Board. From the outset, she was drawn to this root-cause, systems-based approach to care, recognizing its ability to address complex, chronic conditions that often fall outside the scope of conventional treatment models. She has since dedicated her practice to highly individualized, evidence-informed care that integrates physiology, lifestyle, and the nervous system as central components of healing.
Ashley specializes in the evaluation and treatment of complex chronic conditions, including chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune disease, mood disorders, hormonal and thyroid imbalances, and cardiovascular risk factors. She works closely with women to support hormonal health and preconception optimization.
Her clinical focus also includes mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), histamine intolerance, vector-borne illnesses (Lyme disease and coinfections), chronic viral infections such as EBV, and environmental illness. Ashley has completed training through the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) and has several years of experience treating Lyme disease and associated coinfections. She also has significant experience in the assessment and treatment of mold-related illness, from exposure identification to detoxification support and management of downstream inflammatory and neurologic effects.
As a certified yoga teacher, Ashley incorporates mind-body principles into her clinical approach, recognizing the essential role of the nervous system in recovery, resilience, and long-term health. She integrates mindfulness, breath work, and lifestyle strategies when appropriate, helping patients build sustainable foundations for healing beyond symptom management.
Ashley is known for her thoughtful, collaborative style and her ability to help patients understand complex health patterns with clarity and confidence. Her goal is to empower patients to participate actively in their healing process through personalized, compassionate, and scientifically grounded care.
